WEEK 15 RECAP:
Following Week 15 action, Eddie has buckled up in the driver's seat on the road to a title. One game ahead of Chris with three to play, he won and Chris did not, leaving him now two up with two to go. Eddie won in usual fashion--low scoring, but still enough to beat his opponent. behind Matt Ryan and Pierre Thomas, Eddie put down Dan Lieb, who's red-hot Marshawn Lynch just couldn't muster up enough juice.

Chris, on the other hand, ran into a buzzsaw in our weekly high scorer and $20 prize winner, Tom. Tom got nearly 45 points from Drew Brees and while Chris scored well, it was not nearly enough. C.J. Spiller also had an excellent game as Tom scored one of the league's highest point totals on the season and soundly defeated Chris, who scored 125 points of his own behind Roddy White, Darren Sproles, and possible #1 overall pick next seaason LeSean McCoy. It's a heartbreaker for Chris I'm sure, as he would have beaten almost anyone but Tom this week. But in fantasy football, those are the breaks, and he still has $100 coming to him for the points championship.

Two more game-of-the-year candidates emerged this week. In one, 11th place Uncle Joe and 12th place Jeremie's teams really brought it in an exciting, high-scoring shootout. Uncle Joe got mad points from Matt Stafford and--what's this--a Peyton Hillis sighting? The "bust of the year" candidate rolled out a big game to help propel Joe to a win over hard-luck Jeremie, who did get solid production from Calvin Johnson and Lance Moore.

Another entertaining matchup saw Nick and Paul come within less than two points of each other in a high-scorer. Nick got four touchdowns from Tony Romo and over 200 yards rushing from the suddenly-legit Reggie Bush and defeated Paul. While he got good scores from Aaron Hernandez and Ahmad Bradshaw, that loud groan you heard at about 10:20 Pacific Time was Paul agonizing about Hakeem Nicks dropping 17-18 fantasy points. WTF was that?

Dan T. and Mike, in the game dubbed by Dan as the "has-been against the never was," saw Dan pull off a close victory (lots of close ones this week). Tom Brady and Felix Jones got it done, while Mike got a good game from Arian Foster and from Philip Rivers, the latter of which has been sorely lacking this year.

Finally, Marc and Kevin. Neither broke 90 points so the Commish will spend less than 90 words talking about their game. Kevin won, Aaron Rogers and Steven Jackson. Marc lost, Cam Newton and Michael Bush. Nuff said.

So it's down to this: Eddie needs just one win or one loss from Chris to win the title. The two play this week. Eddie wins and it's all over. Chris wins and a win in Week 17 against Dan Todd combined with a loss by Eddie against Marc will result in a tie, and Chris holds a commanding points lead and would win the tiebreaker. Good luck to both Chris and Eddie this week!

(BTW, a public service announcement that Kevin's Steelers got crushed by Paul's 49ers last night)

LEAGUE NEWS & NOTES:
-Marc has been mathmatically eliminated from title contention. The "best owner never to win a championship" will have to wait another season.
-Take note that the action this week is primarily on Saturday, not Sunday. There is a Thursday night, Sunday night, and Monday night game, but all other games are on Saturday. That way you'll be able to watch the kickoff of the NBA season on Sunday without any internal conflict on what to watch. Or you can celebrate Christmas with you're family, your choice.
-The Commish would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas. And to Dan L., a happy chaunakkah or bar mitsvah or whatever. In any event, have fun and be safe!
